INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the hoses from both the oxygen first stage and the elbow on the Classic scrubber head or Sport exhaust pod. You will need a 9/16” wrench.

2. Remove the adapter assembly from the oxygen first stage. A standard swivel elbow can be used with the Miflex hoses, if desired.

3. Remove the elbow from the Classic scrubber head or the Sport exhaust pod. Use a 9/16” wrench to cup the elbow to turn it, if required.

4. Insert the new elbow into the scrubber head/exhaust pod. Use a 5/8” wrench to cup the elbow and turn, if required. Teflon tape should be applied to the NPT fitting on the elbow; this will help to protect the threads.

Be very careful to insert the elbow straight, and not to cross thread it!!!

5. Remove the manual add valve from the swagelok SS/teflon hoses.

6. Remove the existing fittings from the manual add valve where the hoses were attached.

7. Attach the 7/16-20 M x 3/8-24 F fitting to the button side of the manual add valve housing.

8. Attach the 7/16-20 M x 9/16-18 M fitting to the other port on the housing.

BE VERY CAREFUL TO INSERT THE FITTINGS STRAIGHT INTO THE HOUSING. DO NOT CROSS THREAD!! THERE IS NO SECOND CHANCE; IF THE HOUSING IS STRIPPED, IT CAN NOT BE REPAIRED.

9. Attach the 15 micron filter to the manual add valve, button side. The filters 3/8-24 M side goes into the fitting. When attaching the filter, it is very important that you use a second wrench to hold the fitting next to the valve body in place.

Do not allow this fitting to spin as it will over-tighten and strip the plastic. This will cause the valve to leak and could also damage the housing. If the housing is damaged, it can not be repaired! The valve body is not a substitute for a wrench.

10. Attach the Miflex hoses to the first stage and to the elbow. The longer hose should be attached to the first stage and the shorter to the elbow.

11. Attach the manual add valve assembly to the Miflex hoses. The inlet hose is the one which is attached to the oxygen first stage, and is also attached to the 15 micron filter, on the button side fitting. Attach zip ties, if desired.
